so i went and saw king lear today

and then - because i'm crazy - saw some downton parallels

so i did the proper thing an spammed jas' inbox with them ※ and yep crawley sisters are basically king lear's children and robert is lear

except sybil doesn't come back to love him at the end

and i guess bates is gloucester only instead of getting his eyes gouged (such a good scene man) he gets his legs broken
